Charlotte's Web

White, E., & Williams, G. (1999). Charlotte's web. New York: HarperCollins Publisher.

Charlotte's web is the story of a runt pig, Wilbur, who is saved by a young girl named Fern. Wilbur grows up on Fern's uncle's farm, all the while befriending Charlotte, the barn spider. When Wilbur finds out he is destined to be slaughtered for Christmas dinner, Charlotte dreams up a plan that not only saves his life, but also makes him a star. This book is an American classic and one of my favorite books.

A Pinterest blogger has several great ideas for novel studies, art projects, field trips, and research projects for Charlotte's web at this link.
